ISTE NETS 2000 WORDLE
ISTE NETS 2008 WORDLE
The images above are Wordle's from the 2000 and 2008 ISTE NETS Standards. We can see a different between the two Wordle's. The first Wordle (2000) focuses more on technology components, whereas the second Wordle (2008) focuses more on learning. The most predominant words in both Wordles are technology, learning, teachers, resources, teachers, tools, and students.
I think in the last eight years, the ISTE NETS standards have progressed from being focused on incorporating technology into the classroom (2000) to learning how to apply technology to further learning and education (2008). I feel that the 2008 ISTE NETS standards focus more on learning about technology, and how it can be incorporated into the classroom, rather than what technology can be used in the classroom. The 2008 ISTE NETS standards focus more on learning with technology, rather than learning about technology and the varying forms of it. I think as a teacher, I would prefer the 2008 standards.
